ETHAN GREY NEVER HAD to test the convictions of his cynical ideologies, until now. Bitter, confused and resentful for what the world has taken from him, all that remain of hope and sanity are the fading memories of a family and life that once was. The arrival of a strange video journal authored by an unknown young woman becomes a puzzling and lifesaving distraction. Within the journal records is a documentary describing a 30-year-old apocalyptic event that has never occurred. The intense and violent images rip open the past in an hallucination experienced just hours before his classified research facility was destroyed and his colleagues killed - a vision kept absolutely secret. Alexandria (Alex) Zavalla was a former friend of Ethan’s deceased wife with secrets of her own. When she meets Ethan again by accident, it sparks an awkward friendship strained by his fragile grip on reality. During a reluctant sharing of histories, Ethan reveals the mystery of the journal and Alex is intrigued. Ready for adventure, she convinces him to follow a journal clue to search for answers Ethan isn’t sure he really wants to find. Aided by Alex’s well-connected and questionable mentor, Professor Samuel Greenhagen, the quest leads to an abandoned military facility in Kazakhstan and on to more clues that uncover a global cabal quietly infiltrating and undermining the world’s major economies. Ethan dismisses it all as impossible, until an undeniable connection is made to his classified past that unravels a cabal priest’s hidden deception so dark and violent that its consequences are rippling across time. Now Ethan must weigh the true value of his life when he begins to realize that he alone possess the unique knowledge to change a possible world fate. In a necessary deception of his own, he solicits the Professor and his resources to embark on a suicidal mission to stop the cabal, which evokes a vicious, unrelenting and inevitable response. But Ethan knows something no one else does and with the truth he now protects, will risk all he has left to change the history of a gifted young woman who kept a journal.
