Ranse Parker is a national award-winning writer, business entrepreneur and managing partner of the film production companies, Cathedral Media Entertainment Partners, LLC, and Circle of Doors Investments, LLC.
He began his entrepreneurial business career as a broadcast and production engineer in the satellite systems, television and radio divisions of Bonneville International Corporation. Later he transitioned into systems engineering and project management for the private sector before going solo to build and operate several tech-related businesses and corporations as President and CEO. He was a contributing writer and editor for an international trade magazine and has other works published in various print and electronic media including journals for the U.S. Military and automotive industry.
While running his fourth company after consulting for the 2002 Winter Olympics, a series of extraordinary personal experiences led Mr. Parker to temporarily abandon his business pursuits and focus entirely on a secret writing project that produced his first novel, CIRCLE OF DOORS. The work received critical acclaim earning the prestigious Nautilus Book Award in 2009, and the national silver IPPY for Visionary Fiction in 2008.
When Hollywood expressed interest in the story, Mr. Parker took the advice of a certain Oscar-winning filmmaker who suggested that to create the best film possible, he use his artistic and extensive business experience to write the screenplay and produce the film himself. Cathedral is now working to establish high-quality, professional film industry relationships and has a slate of other original story ideas ready for development.
Mr. Parker is also a musician, graphic artist, amateur photographer and automotive, motorcycle and helicopter enthusiast. He currently lives with his wife and children in the Northwestern United States.
