“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.” -Teddy Roosevelt

Ranse Parker was raised in the small farming community of Castleford, Idaho - population 200 something. He has a specialized degree in Communications Electronics and began an intensive, entrepreneurial career in the satellite systems and broadcast divisions of Bonneville International Corporation.

Later he would work in systems design and project management for the private sector before going solo to build and operate several tech-related businesses and corporations as President and CEO. He has been a contributing writer and editor for an international trade magazine and has been published in various other print media.

Not long after consulting for the 2002 Winter Olympics, a series of extraordinary personal experiences led him to abandon a 25-year career interest and to focus entirely on writing. His first novel, Circle of Doors, received a Nautilus Book Award in 2009, and the national silver IPPY for Visionary Fiction in 2008.

Ranse is currently working on the Circle of Doors film project and lives with his family in the Northwestern United States.
